Zink oxide Zink oxide has an astringent effect on the skin’s pores, and assists make-up in blending with the skin.It also absorbs moisture, and is therefore good in make-up, mineral make-up, powder, rouge etc so that the skin is not “shiny”. In salves it is healing of cuts, red and irritated areas of the skin.
